The leadership conference donates 100% of its proceeds to help young people from under-privileged backgrounds gain apprenticeships in the marketing industry. Working with the Prince’s Trust, the Marketing Academy Apprenticeship Programme offers 12-month fully paid apprenticeships for 18- to 24-year-olds not currently in work, education or training.
Sarah Ellis, head of marketing strategy at Sainsbury’s, set up Inspire Live. She says: “Our mission is to provide learning that’s good for everyone. From the skills and behaviour that you can put into practice straight away, to new ideas from some of the most recognised and respected names within the marketing industry.
“Leadership behaviours and skills are relevant to everyone and what it takes to be an outstanding leader is constantly evolving. The Marketing Academy Inspire Live is a fantastic opportunity to come together for a day of inspiration, learning and networking. Most importantly, it can transform the lives of young people who need the chance to get their foot in the door.”
To further raise funds for the apprenticeship programme, attendees can participate in a raffle, with prizes including a place on the Marketing Week Mini MBA, as well as 20 mentoring sessions with industry leaders.
