Wellbeing in the workplace

Microsoft’s Helen Tupper and Direct line’s Mark Evans join Marketing Week’s Russell Parsons for the latest careers podcast.

This month’s podcast focuses on wellbeing and the importance of brands taking a holistic approach to the issue, one that embraces both physical and mental health.

It is part of a wider look at the issue of wellbeing in Marketing Week, looking at how brands need to evolve their performance management strategies to go beyond pure target setting and encompass wellbeing.

In the podcast Tupper provides advice on how marketers can incorporate mindfulness into their daily life, explaining why it is important to make it a habit rather than taking a “hippy approach”.

“Being more mindful can make you less stressed, it helps with mental health and productivity at work. It can reduce attrition and improve decision making. You can take a bit of space, you can make better decisions and you can be happier at work,” she says.
