Aldi and Virgin Holidays top Marketing Week’s Masters awards shortlist

The shortlist for Marketing Week’s Masters awards is revealed, with Bodyform, Vodafone, O2 and Domino’s also racking up multiple nominations.

Virgin Holidays, Bodyform, Vodafone, O2, Domino’s and Aldi are just a handful of the brands leading the charge in the nominations for this year’s Marketing Week Masters awards.

Virgin Holidays leads the way with five nominations, followed by Aldi on four. Virgin Holidays has been shortlisted for awards in Travel, Leisure and Transport, Customer Experience, Data-driven Marketing, Email Marketing, and PR and Brand Storytelling. While Aldi is in the running to take home the prizes for Retail and Ecommerce, Multi-Channel Marketing, Sponsorship & Partner Marketing and Team of the Year.

Bodyform, Vodafone, O2 and Domino’s each have three nominations across a variety of categories.

When it comes to the coveted Brand of the Year prize, the five shortlisted brands are Quorn, Ikea, Asos, the Guardian and KFC.

And the fried chicken giant’s UK CMO Meghan Farren has also been shortlisted for Marketer of the Year. She is joined by Tesco’s chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini, Unilever’s chief marketing and communications officer Keith Weed, Kraft Heinz’s CMO Steve Chantry, HP’s CMO Antonio Lucio, Nationwide’s CMO Sara Bennison and Direct Line Group’s marketing director Mark Evans.

Meanwhile, Lloyd’s of London, Nationwide, Pride in London and The British Army will vie for the title of Diversity and Inclusion Champion, and five brands – Bodyform, Guinness, Jigsaw, Pernod Ricard and Whirlpool – have been shortlisted for the hotly-contested Brand Purpose award.
