Applications are open for the Marketing Academy Fellowship, a free nine-month programme aimed at developing senior marketers into senior management.

The coaching and learning programme, developed in partnership with McKinsey & Company, consists of three residential events covering the skills and leadership capabilities required to become a CEO and sit on a board.

Highlights include a ‘CMO to CEO’ leadership element led by leadership expert and Marketing Week columnist Thomas Barta, and a day of media training provided by Freuds. Executive coaching by Wisdom 8 and sessions with high profile board directors are also included.

There are 86 alumni of the Fellowship and a number of marketers have been promoted to management or board positions since completing the programme. Notable alumni include Carol Welch, now managing director of Odeon, Craig Inglis, now customer director and board member of John Lewis & Partners and Otto Rosenberger who is now chief operating officer at Iglu.com.
