A brief look at online trends

It will probably come as no surprise to Diary readers that new media fashions are following the flood of dot-coms across the Atlantic. Many UK office workers are now used to the privilege of early finishes on Friday afternoon – a trend that started in the Internet capital of the world, Seattle.

But clothing giant Ted Baker is taking the techie invasion a step further, teaming up with Hewlett-Packard and Internet agency Blueberry.Net to launch a “dress-down” fashion collection online.

At www.tedsthebusiness.co.uk, you can even take a 360-degree look at Ted Baker’s “office casual underwear”.

Talking of the bottom line, media types don’t need to be told how to dress like students, surely?
