A site… but not as we know it

While the overall tone and information of your cover story “Black’s next move” in last week’s issue (MW May 4) was both interesting and positive I would like to draw your attention to some inaccuracies that need correcting. As managing director of Hollinger Telegraph New Media (HTNM) – wrongly named Hollinger Telegraph Electronic New Media in the diagram of the Hollinger Family Tree, I was disappointed to see that Marketing Week inaccurately illustrated electronic telegraph (www.telegraph.co.uk), using a screen site that had no connection to electronic telegraph or The Telegraph Group. Another investment of HTNM, interactive investor international (iii.co.uk) was wrongly referred to as Intelligent Investor International.

HTNM, which was officially launched in February of this year has had an exciting period – the group’s properties already include the electronic telegraph network (18 websites), www.handbag.com (50 per cent owned with Boots), our 29 per cent stake in the recently floated www.iii.co.uk and as of last week, our five per cent share holding in www.newsplayer.com.
