AB InBev names Hilger marketing chief
Andreas Hilger has been named UK marketing director for the recently merged Anheuser-Busch and InBev businesses.
Hilger, who joined last year as Inbev’s UK marketing director, will report to Stuart MacFarlane, who was named president of the UK AB InBev business last month.
Vicky Kipling, AB UK marketing director, is to leave the business.
In addition, Alistair Kemp, currently UK sales director at Anheuser-Busch, is to become trade marketing and tech sales director of the combined business.
The appointments follow the merger of Budweiser-owner Anheuser-Busch and Brazilian-Belgian brewer InBev, which owns the Stella Artois brand. The proposed merger was announced last July and completed in November.
Last month, David Dryden, former marketing director and the then managing director of Anheuser-Busch UK left the company following MacFarlane’s appointment.
MacFarlane says the new structure and “strengthened” team will provide “an integrated approach” and prepare it for the future.
The merged entity launched a new corporate identity last December introducing the image of an eagle rendered in “rich golden colours”.
