Ad bosses get away from it all

It seems that even the great and the good of advertising enjoy a break from tawdry adland.

A month ago it emerged that former president of BBDO Europe David Wheldon was heading for Peru for some r&r, while this week the Diary has discovered that new Omnicom financial head honcho Randy Weisenburger has made tracks for Kenya’s Mount Kilimanjaro.

Let’s hope that their intention is to forget about work, and not to seek out sets for advertising shoots.

Otherwise we may well see Kilimanjaro dyed Pepsi blue or Inca descendants dining at the latest branch of Pizza Hut on Lake Titicaca.
