Ad campaign pushes Guardian job site

Guardian Media Group’s online recruitment service Workthing.com launches this Sunday with a &£3m TV ad campaign through WCRS. The ad features retired people talking about the pressures of working in the modern world and carries the strapline ‘It’s a job thing, it’s a skills thing, it’s an advice thing’. The campaign will be supported by press and poster work as part of an estimated &£10m advertising budget over the next year. Marketing director Claire Potter says: ‘Workthing aims to be the first online career management brand, offering training, advice and jobs.’ The site will cover jobs in 14 different industries.
