Ad chiefs are a site for sore eyes


Ad agency chiefs are famous for inflating their egos. The launch of Internet sites by a number of agencies is the latest outlet for their head-swelling antics.

Rupert Howell, ebullient partner at HHCL & Partners, has put a picture of himself on the agency’s site. Although the Diary is not blessed with access to the Internet, he hears that Jay Chiat and David Ogilvy have done the same – even preparing speeches for cruising Netties.

The only problem is that the Internet is notoriously slow in downloading pictures, so you could be in for a 20-minute wait to see the mooshes of your favourite ad chiefs.
