AdConnection has won the £3.5m Eckoh Technologies media planning and buying account ahead of a relaunch. The account was previously split between Acumen and Media Planning Group.

Eckoh, which markets text and voice-based services through the UK including the Who Wants to be a Millionaire phoneline, is being relaunched as Connection Makers. It also has the Phone Bar and Teletalk Services brands and provides all text services to broadcaster ITV, including those for summer reality show Love Island. Other clients include cinema chain Vue, National Rail Enquiries, Electrolux and Parcel Force Worldwide.

Connection Makers is said to be readying a number of other brands to the market.

Eckoh was founded in 1993 to provide services across Europe and in 2003 formed a strategic alliance with BT. Last month, chief operating officer Nik Philpot replaced Martin Turner as chief executive, although Turner remains on the board.
