AdGent 007 appoints former Yahoo! snr vice president

JohnMarcomYahoo!’s former senior vice president for international operations, John Marcom Junior, has been appointed chief operating officer for international online marketing agency AdGent 007. He will be responsible for leading its ongoing global expansion plans.

In the UK, AdGent 007 works with the Telegraph Media Group’s Telegraph.co.uk, Scottish newspaper website Scotsman.com and regional press publisher Johnston Press’ 322 websites.

Marcom worked at Yahoo! between 2003 and 2007. During his tenure the internet company reported that its international revenues had grown ten-fold, fuelled by acquisitions and the rapid development of its advertising service.

Cameron Yuill, founder and chief executive of AdGent 007, says: “We anticipate exponential growth under his leadership.”

The agency network sells international advertising inventory of newspaper and publishing websites directly to brand advertisers and agencies.

Headquartered in San Fransisco AdGent 007 currently represents more than 300 publishers worldwide.

Marcom’s appointment is effective immediately.
