AN Digital hires first mobile head

Associated Northcliffe Digital, a division of Associated Newspapers, has appointed Annabel Hembry as its first head of mobile. The new role has been created to develop AN Digital’s content-to-mobile strategy.

Hembry will be responsible for generating revenue through content-to-mobile products and services and selling them to advertisers and agencies. She will also work with individual AN Digital divisions to help develop content-to-mobile knowledge and skills across the business.

Hembry joins from mobile agency Enpocket, where she was business development director and worked with digital agencies including Mediacom and Carat helping clients develop their mobile strategies.

AN Digital chief operating officer Alan Revell says: “The opportunities for us in mobile are significant. Annabel has a track record of working with advertisers to help them develop their mobile strategies and her experience is a great fit for what we need at AN Digital to enhance our existing offering.”

AN Digital includes the digital assets of Associated Newspapers Ltd and Northcliffe Newspapers, which are owned by the Daily Mail and General Trust. The division was formed after a merger of Associated New Ventures, Associated New Media and Northcliffe Electronic Publishing last May.
