Artemis to sponsor new City A.M section

UK fund manager Artemis has signed a deal with City A.M to sponsor the paper’s first fund management section.

The free daily morning newspaper for London’s business community will feature the new section every Wednesday for the next three months starting from tomorrow (14 April).

Dick Turpin, managing director of Artemis, will contribute a column called ’Market Matters’ which will focus on one or two medium-to-long term market themes and will be aimed predominantly at institutional investors. The rest of the section will be written primarily by two of City A.M’s in-house specialists, Jessica Mead and Kathleen Brooks.

The new Fund Management section will form part of City A.M’s growing investment section, which provides a forum for news and analysis of companies, capital market and commodities. Included on a daily basis is ’London’s Top 250’ put together by looking at market capitalisation and reports from activity in the London and New York markets.

City A.M editor Allister Heath says the new section increases the depth of the paper’s investment coverage and provides Artemis with the ideal platform to reach institutional investors.

Launched four-and-a-half years ago, City AM is distributed at 2,400 points in around London. Total distribution is now 94,566 (ABC, February 2010).
