Associated Newspapers fills four new marketing roles

Associated Newspapers has boosted its strategic insight team with a number of new appointments. The move aims to improve its understanding of brands and consumer behaviour.

Associated has appointed SABMiller senior marketer Clare Abley to head its strategic insight division. She will be responsible for about 20 staff and will report to group marketing director Linda Grant.

It has also appointed Rachel Cassidy, a former Orange marketer, as senior insight executive, and Gemma Seymour and Jo Green as insight executives who join from TNS and EMAP respectively. All of the appointments are new roles.

The changes come as Associated-owned The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday launched an 8,000-strong panel as part of Associated’s high-profile “Modern MidBritain” research.

The publisher says the panel will be of significant interest to marketers and advertisers as it offers “a unique insight into the mindset, attributes and lifestyles of MidBritain”.
