Associated Northcliffe Digital appoints CEO
Associated Newspapers has appointed Richard D. Titus as chief executive of digital division AND.
Titus has come from the BBC where he was controller of future media. He replaces Andy Hart who left Associated Newspapers Digital in July last year.
Titus will report directly to Kevin Beatty, Associated Newspapers group managing director.
During Titus’ time at the BBC he was involved in a number of major projects, including the launch of the personalised homepage; the BBC iPlayer and the corporation’s mobile strategy and services.
AND is the digital consumer division of Daily Mail and General Trust, operating the digital assets of Associated Newspapers and Northcliffe Media.
It publishes a number of consumer websites including Findaproperty.com, Jobsite.co.uk, carsource.co.uk and Primelocation.com.
Titus’ vacated the role at the BBC has been filled by Mark Kortekaas, a former digital executive at NBC and Sony. He most recently held the position of chief technology officer at failed BBC, ITV and Channel 4 TV-on-demand service joint venture Project Kangaroo.
