Asthma UK is looking to raise awareness of the seriousness of the condition by launching its first television advertising campaign.
The Deadly Serious campaign has been created by Claydon Heeley Jones Mason and features the strapline “Don’t underestimate asthma, it’s a fatal mistake”.
The campaign highlights the fact that 90% of asthma-related deaths in the UK could be prevented. The charity urges the country’s 5.2 million sufferers to carry an asthma attack card, which contains basic information that Asthma UK says could save lives.
The ad will target parents on daytime TV as well as family and children’s satellite stations. MC&C handled media planning and buying.
