Audi’s branded television channel will be available on Freeview from next week with the launch of a new download service from Top Up TV. National Lottery operator Camelot will also provide content for Showcase, which will be unveiled on Freeview on July 17.

Users of Top Up TV will be able to download one hour of content from The Audi Channel to their set-top boxes every week, while Camelot will offer content including interviews with lottery winners and behind-the-scenes access to draws.

Top Up TV chairman David Chance says: “Today companies spend millions sponsoring and creating great content that is often only seen by a limited number of people. Showcase enables them to set free that content, getting into people’s living rooms and reaching out to much wider audiences.”

The Audi Channel, which launched at the end of 2005, is a 24-hour non-subscription service on Sky Digital channel 884 and on Audi’s website.

Head of marketing Peter Duffy adds: “We are proud of The Audi Channel’s high quality programming so the opportunity to deliver it to a whole new audience of viewers and potential Audi customers is one we were eager to grasp.”
