Audi appoints new brand director
Audi has appointed Andre Konsbruck as its new UK brand director as it unveils a new multi-million pound TV campaign to promote the launch of its RS 6 Avant model.
Konsbruck replaces Martin Sander, who will take up to role of Audi senior sales director in the Americas, and will be tasked with furthering the German manufacturer’s brand strategy in the UK.
The appointment comes as Audi unveils a TV campaign with an ad created by BBH that runs with the tag line: “Power from a less obvious place.”
The TV spot depicts a boxing match refereed by hall-of-famer Tony Weeks and focuses on how he keeps the boxers in check (see image) before leaving the boxing arena in an Audi RS 6 Avant. This activity will be followed up with press ads that are similarly themed and run with the tag line ”No mouth. All trousers.”
