Aussies decide that subtlety is the pits

Strewth Sheila, it looks like those flamin’ Aussies have decided to give us whinging Poms a taste of their no-nonsense straight talking.

Foster’s, a worldwide sponsor of Formula One, is to use this year’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone to get across the message that drinking and driving don’t mix. Unless, of course, you’re watching Michael Schumacher lap the rest of the “competition” with a tinny in your hand.

And as the Aussies aren’t exactly well known for tact or diplomacy, the Foster’s campaign is simple: “If you drink and drive, you’re a bloody idiot”. Strong words, bluntly spoken.
