Google should be reacting to Apple’s smackdown on its privacy policies

This week Apple CEO Tim Cook aimed two thinly-veiled slap downs at internet services companies, such as Google and Facebook, which make revenue from collecting user data in order to serve them targeted ads. His attacks were strongly-worded and highly-visible – and those in the firing line shouldn’t be letting him get away with it.

Cadbury owner Mondelez International has promoted its senior vice president of marketing communications and strategy Dana Anderson to become its senior vice president and CMO, just two months after the role was scrapped in favour of a more “integrated” approach led by its recently instated chief growth officer.

Telefónica appoints global ad director

O2 owner Telefónica has appointed mobile ad agency Joule’s global CEO Daniel Rosen as its global director of advertising to develop its global ad business, with a particular focus on Europe and Latin America.
