Auto Windscreens names marketing chief

Auto Windscreens has appointed Nigel Davies as its sales and marketing director.

Davis (pictured) will replace Tony Johnston who has left the company to pursue other interests. It is not clear if he has another job to go to.

Davies has previously worked for Kwik-Fit as fleet sales director and joins from fluid transfer solutions provider Pirtek Europe where he was chief executive.

The appointment follows Auto Windscreens’ acquisition by German holding company, ARQUES Industries last December

It had been reported a month earlier that the firm was mid-way through a redesign programme to better enable it to compete against market leader Autoglass.

Davies says: “I am delighted to join Auto Windscreens. The company has a well-established market reputation and operates in sectors which I am very familiar with.

“ I am looking forward to playing a significant role in securing a greater share of the automotive glazing services market for Auto Windscreens.”
