Bartle Bogle Hegarty US nets £3m Furniture.com account

Bartle Bogle Hegarty US, New York, has won the $5m (£3.1m) creative account for Internet company Furniture.com.

Bartle Bogle Hegarty US, New York, has won the $5m (&£3.1m) creative account for Internet company Furniture.com.

The Massachusetts business, which is revolutionising the $178bn furniture and home furnishings market, made the announcement this week after a pitch involving leading US and international agencies.

Kirsten von Hassel, vice-president of marketing at Furniture.com, says: “The appointment reflects BBH’s fresh approach to our business and clear understanding of the consumer.

“The BBH team shares our excitement about creating a better way for consumers to buy furniture and home furnishings.”

Cindy Gallop, president of BBH US, which was set up in October last year, says: “We’re delighted to be working with a client which will be a significant force on the e-commerce scene.”

Furniture.com offers a large selection of home furnishings online – more than 50,000 items – and rooms can be assembled on-screen.
