Two of the titans of the marketing industry are set to go head-to-head at the Festival of Marketing in what is sure to be one of the most important debates this year.

In one corner, brand consultant, academic and award-winning Marketing Week columnist Mark Ritson will assess the impact of Sharp’s book ‘How Brands Grow’ and the areas where he believes it still falls short.

In the other corner, Byron Sharp, who has the attention of some of the world’s biggest brands, will review the impact of his book seven years on and respond to Ritson’s rebuttal.

The debate offers a unique opportunity to see two of the world’s most prominent, celebrated and colourful voices in marketing offer their own visions for the future of our industry. And you can only see it at the Festival of Marketing; it won’t be filmed or made available after the event.

Plus, if you are one of the first to book a ticket as a Marketing Week reader, you can claim one of only 200 free copies of  How Brands Grow by using promotional code MWBBook when you check out.

The Festival of Marketing is taking place on 4 and 5 October at Tobacco Dock in London, with Ritson and Sharp set to take to the stage on the morning of the second day. To find out more about the festival, including information on booking tickets, visit www.festivalofmarketing.com
