Bauer Media appoints head of mens and entertainment marketing

Bauer Media, the publisher of Grazia and FHM, has appointed Patrick Horton to the newly-created role of head of marketing, Mens and Entertainment.

Previously, Horton was publishing strategist and associate publisher for the ACP Magazines in Australia.

At ACP he worked on the BBC Worldwide portfolio launching a number of BBC products including a full brand launch of Top Gear in Australia and NZ, including print and online executions as well as a live Top Gear event in Sydney.

At Bauer he will be responsible for the development and execution of market and brand strategies across FHM, Zoo, Homme Plus, Q, Empire, Mojo and Kerrang! and will work closely with the marketing, publishing, editorial and commercial teams to drive circulation, sales and revenue growth.

He is also tasked with maximising cross-promotional opportunities across the mens, music and film markets.

Last week, Bauer Media restructured its senior sales advertising team, appointing Abby Carvosso to the newly created role of head of magazine sales to lead Bauer Media’s Womens, Mens, Music and Entertainment magazine sales teams.

Horton has previously worked with Emap in Australia and in the UK where he was trade marketing manager and head of retail.

He will work alongside Victoria Walker, head of marketing for Heat, Closer and Parenting and Rebecca Eaves, head of marketing for Grazia, Yours, More and Top Sante, and report into Anne-Marie Lavan, Bauer marketing director.
