BBC launches new license fee campaign
The BBC is celebrating its Natural History Unit’s wildlife photography in its latest campaign to bolster support for the licence fee. The same creative team responsible for the Perfect Day and Small People campaigns are producing ‘Curiosity’, a film which focuses on the BBC’s award-winning nature series. Leagas Delaney worked with BBC producer Josie Burke and executive producer Steve Kelynack to make the film. Shots of creatures ranging from elephants to flamingos and frogs are interwoven with images of human life, accompanied by The Beatles’ song ‘I am the Walrus’. The film will be shown on BBC1 from Saturday July 10, with a radio version to follow. BBC head of corporate brand marketing Jane Frost says: ‘This film is about the passion the BBC brings to observation and explanation using the magic of our Natural History Unit productions.’
