BBC Worldwide creates VP of marketing role

BBC Worldwide’s sales and distribution arm has appointed former Granada marketing chief Clare Vincent to the new role of vice president of marketing. She will move into the position in November.

Vincent will be responsible for “setting the overall strategic vision” for marketing BBC Worldwide’s distribution business globally, including presales and aftersales. She will report to BBC Worldwide Sales & Distribution managing director Steve Macallister and BBC Worldwide marketing director, Helen Kellie.

Vincent was previously director of marketing at Granada International, where she led all marketing activity for the company, including brand roll-outs, trade events and marketing strategy.

She has acted as a marketing consultant for Target Entertainment Group and is credited with setting up advertising agency CreativeVerve.

BBC Worldwide Sales & Distribution managing director, Steve Macallister, says: “We have a great deal of marketing strength at BBC Worldwide – Clare’s focus will be to take the long view and develop and overarching marketing strategy that supports our business and franchise portfolio as we keep growing.”
