Best Buy announces fourth store

Best Buy, the US consumer electronics retailer, has revealed its fourth store location for its impending UK launch.

The store will be sited at London and Stamford Property’s Racecourse Retail Park in Aintree, near Liverpool.

Best Buy is set to open its doors in the this Spring with stores in Thurrock, Essex, Merry Hill in the West Midlands and Hedge End near Southampton.

The stores will compete with Curry’s and PC World chains selling visual and audio equipment, computing technology, entertainment devices, mobiles, appliances, music, movies, games, fixed broadband, mobile and other related services.

Best Buy is currently searching for employees including staff for its “Geek Squad” a 24-hour technology support service for customers.

Paul Antoniadis, CEO of Best Buy Branded Operations, said: “This announcement marks a further step forward in our plans to launch Best Buy in the UK this Spring.”

Best Buy will sit alongside B&Q, Mothercare, Marks and Spencer, Next and Boots.
