The British Heart Foundation has appointed Grey to handle its £5m advertising account after a four-way pitch against Red Brick Road, Mother and WCRS. Fallon pulled out of the pitch at an earlier stage.

The pitch, which was handled by the AAR, was called in April at the same time as it called a review of its media. It is thought the media pitch is ongoing with Mediaedge:cia, Arena BLM and Phd involved. Incumbent Manning Gottlieb OMD, which had held the business for more than ten years, is not involved.

It is understood that Grey will now handle three briefs for the charity. In the past, it has appointed agencies on a project-by-project basis. Its last agency of record was Farm Communications but it has also worked with Euro RSCG, which created a high profile anti-smoking campaign in 2007, Lowe and RKCR/Y&R.
