Brasso reveals gadget granny for Gadget Care campaign

Reckitt Benckiser is launching a viral campaign to promote the launch of Brasso Gadget Care and drive penetration.

Gadget Care is the first NPD from the Brasso brand in more than 100 years developed to help consumers keep electronic items such as iPhones and laptops clean.

Brasso aims to target men over 25 and a younger audience who are active online and so has created Vera The Gadget Granny, a brand character to front the marketing activity and develop a personality for the brand in the digital space.

Vera will share her technology tips online through video content and social media platforms.

Catherine Lloyd, RB UK Surface Care Marketing Manager, says that the Vera character will provide “longevity” for the campaign because it can grow and adapt with the brand and any future NPD or brand extensions.

“We wanted to play with the juxtaposition between the traditional Brasso brand and its older audience and the modern product and younger audience,” she adds
