Brecon Carreg campaign promotes Welsh heritage

Brecon Carreg, the Welsh Mineral Water brand, is launching a £100,000 advertising campaign to push its Welsh heritage.

The “Pure Welsh Magic” outdoor and radio campaign launches today, (10 May) in Wales and runs until July.

The campaign depicts the waterfalls and landscape of the rural Brecon Beacons from where the water it is sourced.

The water brand carries the Natural Mineral Water status which means it is considered a premium water but says it’s pricing reflects it as an everyday grocery and convenience drink.

The campaign will include outdoor ads, concentrated in ad sites around Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s.

A radio campaign will air at the same time on Welsh radio stations Red Dragon, The Wave and Swansea Sound.

Brecon Careg is available in still and sparkling variants and has a sub-ranged aimed at children’s lunchboxes.

Eva Toth, marketing manager for Brecon Carreg, says: “Consumers understand the benefits of natural hydration and there is ongoing enthusiasm for healthy hydration with Welsh shoppers feeling particularly connected to Brecon Carreg with its distinctly local roots. We have come a long way from our cottage industry roots to become the biggest selling Welsh water in the UK and this campaign will help bring our brand to a wider audience at a time when many consumers appreciate and opt for local produce.”.
