BarclaySquare, one of the UK’s leading online shopping malls, has anticipated an upswing in electronic Christmas shopping with improved graphics and a simplified no-frills layout. It allows quicker selection and transactions for online cust-omers. In particular, the site is exper-iencing an upswing in the number of overseas customers who are ordering Christmas gifts for UK-based rela-tives online to avoid problems of international post and packaging. The 18-month-old site, which to date has received 600,000 visitors, is pre-dicting December traffic levels of between 50,000 and 60,000 visits, compared with 15,000 last year.
