MoneyeXtra, the Bristol & West-owned financial services website, is to be rebranded as MX Financial Solutions next week, following its merger with independent financial adviser Willis National.

The move symbolises the company’s aim of operating as a multi-channel financial services company, using the Internet, a call centre and face-to-face advice to deal with consumer and corporate customers.

The launch will be backed by direct marketing, created by advertising and branding agency CCHM, to explain the change to customers.

Other direct marketing will follow, explaining how customers can better manage their finances.

CCHM helped to create the new brand, although BMP DDB, which was appointed in August, is still the main advertising agency for the website.

MoneyeXtra was set up two years ago and bought by Bristol & West last year. The site contains a database of products from other financial services companies. Users find the most suitable products for them by typing in personal details and requirements.

Willis National was bought for &£40m by Bristol & West in July this year from Willis Group Holdings and Abbey National. The company has 18 UK offices.

The MoneyeXtra website was revamped in May this year. It changed its colours from blue to purple to make it appear less conservative and dropped the “.com” part of its name.
