Britain’s Got Talent judge stars in Tesco campaign
Tesco has signed up Amanda Holden to star in its Christmas campaign.
The Britain’s Got Talent Judge will appear alongside Mark Addy and Fay Ripley in the 50 second TV advertisement, which breaks today. (1 November)
Holden plays Penelope Belcher, a nouveau-riche sister character to Fay Ripley.
While shopping in Tesco, Ripley calls her sister to find out what she wants for Christmas. Penelope then reels of a list of expensive-sounding items, which Mark Addy’s character is able to quickly find in store.
Carolyn Bradley, Tesco UK marketing director, says: “Our aim is to give our customers the best and easiest Christmas ever with fantastic quality items at great value prices.”
The ad was created by The Red Brick Road. A second TV advertisement, also starring Holden, will air on 22 November.
