Work on the account will begin later this year. Brother International Europe (BIE), the company which represents the European operations of global office technology brand, made the appointment.

Brother Europe worked in conjunction with AAR to select a suitable creative agency to fulfil a pan-European project brief. The multi-channel campaign is expected to roll-out across Europe later this year.

Antony Peart, advertising and communications manager for Brother Europe, says: “We are delighted to have appointed Grey to work with us in developing this important campaign for Brother in Europe. We selected Grey on the basis of their creative ideas and our confidence in their ability to deliver a campaign which will deliver at both a trade and consumer level across a number of channels.”

Chris Hirst, CEO of Grey London, adds: “Brother is a brand with real ambition; in a busy and unimaginative category we are really excited at the opportunity to help them set the agenda.”

Full details of the project brief and budget are not confirmed.

Last month, Santander awarded its £20m pan-European advertising duties for OpenBank, its unified online banking service, to Grey EMEA.
