BT doubles on-demand film content

BT Vision has doubled its on-demand film subscription content with the launch of BT Vision Film Club.

This will give subscribers access to films from major Hollywood studios, Picturebox, WarnerFilms and Sony Pictures Television, with more than 60 available each month, and 14 films refreshed every week.

Films such as Untraceable, The Other Boleyn Girl, Nanny McPhee, Candyman and The Cable Guy, plus independent titles from Film4 such as Elizabeth and Shallow Grave, will be available via the service.

Users can subscribe to Film Club for £6.99 a month or as an option within BT Vision’s Bronze, Silver and Gold viewing packages.

Alternatively they can subscribe to Picturebox or WarnerFilms alone for £4.99 a month each.

Marc Watson, CEO of BT Vision, said, “We already have an extensive catalogue of more than 600 films available in the UK courtesy of our long-term deals with the major Hollywood studios. Now our Value Pack film subscribers will have an even wider choice of titles each week for no extra charge.

“All of our films are available on demand, so you won’t have to fit in with a broadcaster’s schedule or miss the first part of a film. You can start it when you’re ready and pause or rewind whenever you want.”

Last week Warner Bothers announced the launch of its UK subscription on-demand service WarnerFilms on BT Vision (nma.co.uk 4 May 2010).
