Capital to launch Bam Bam bus campaign

Capital 95.8 is launching an outdoor advertising campaign to promote new DJ Bam Bam’s evening show. It is the first show-specific activity from the GCap-owned station since the Johnny Vaughan Breakfast Show campaign in 2004.

Bam Bam and sidekick Streetboy join Capital in the 7pm weekday slot next Monday and the advertising campaign breaks on the same day. Delaney Lund Knox Warren and Partners has created five executions that will feature on 650 London buses.

The Bam Bam campaign is a continuation of the “Sound of London” activity that broke in January. Capital marketing director Nick Button says: “We want to let lapsed and non-Capital listeners know that Capital’s output has evolved from when they last tried the station. We share our listeners’ excitement about life in London and we believe it’s time that people had a radio station that reflected that outlook.”

The Sound of London print and online campaign will run alongside the Bam Bam activity for a further four weeks.
