Casting a clout before May is out

The Diary is thinking of producing a calendar. Each month will feature an MW hack in a sexy pose. Duffel coats, ankle-length skirts, three-piece suits and gloves will abound. Anything but another nudie calendar…

But it would be cruel to carp – at least the UK’s passion for exhibitionism is being used for good causes. This week, the Diary brings you two.

Readers may remember an article (MW October 16) which mentioned that Goldcrest Homes’s Trish Henderson had posed nearly naked in an ad for her company. It seems her daring prompted her colleagues to follow (birthday) suit. At last week’s What House? Awards, an 18-month calendar featuring mystery nudes from the property industry was unveiled to raise money for several charities.

Meanwhile, Steve Perez, managing sot – sorry, director – of drinks company GBL International, has posed for the Ashgate Hospice Charity calendar, his modesty concealed by a giant bottle of VK. The Diary will not be printing the pic – if you want a copy, you’ll have to send £50 to the appeal. Contact helent@ vkuk.co.uk for more details.

But the Diary would still rather people kept their parcels wrapped up until Christmas.
