CBS has promoted Clive Punter to head of its international outdoor advertising business after Tom Goddard resigned from the role.

Punter, currently chief operating officer for CBS Outdoor International’s Asian division, will take over the role at the end the month.

CBS says Goddard intends to "pursue other business and personal interested unconnected to the outdoor industry".

During his tenure Goddard help the company secure several key franchises, including the London Underground.

Punter has been with the company for over a decade working across a number of key management roles including as European co-chief operating officer alongside Guillaume Prot in 2004, and international sales director. Prior to that he served a three-year tenure as UK joint managing director along with Andrew Oldham.

CBS Outdoor is part of US-based CBS Corporation which was formed last year after chairman Summer Redstone split Viacom into two publicly traded businesses.

Earlier this year the company underwent a major re-branding from Viacom Outdoor to move under the CBS banner.
