Cello creates new board for research division

Global marketing, research and consulting group Cello today has appointed a new board for its Cello Research division to be led by Vincent Nolan as chairman and Jane Shirley as chief executive.

Nolan is the founder of leading integrated research business 2CV and joined Cello Group just over a year ago when the company was acquired. 2CV now has a turnover of more than £10 million and it is currently rolling out its network into strategic hubs in the US, Europe and Asia.

Shirley, who is joint group managing director of specialist healthcare research agency Insight alongside Nicola Cowland, will take primary responsibility for developing centres of excellence within the Cello Research group and extending the group’s fieldwork capabilities. .

Nolan and Shirley will continue to play an active role in their respective agencies, while leading the management team of Cello Research. Both will become managing partners of the broader Cello Group. Richard Gilmore will remain in his position as chairman of Cello Research and Consulting.

Mark Scott, CEO of Cello Group Plc, says: “Vincent and Jane’s appointment to the Cello Research Board is a positive initiative which we expect to yield operating efficiencies, improve the group’s competitive position and drive further synergies.”

Cello is AIM-listed and just issued results showing income up 17.2 per cent last year.
