Champagne brand and Sky agree Oscars deal

Champagne house Moët & Chandon is sponsoring Sky’s coverage of the 82nd Academy Awards and 2010 Golden Globes for the second consecutive year.

The six-figure deal for the Oscars and Golden Globes will incorporate branding on all live coverage and support programming, including online and on-demand coverage.

The credits will incorporate 15-second opening and closing billboards and five-second break bumpers on the Oscars Live Ceremony, Red Carpet Arrivals and all associated features including “And the Winner Is…” on The Biography Channel and “Inside The Actors Studio” on Sky Arts.

The deal will also include an exclusive competition on Sky websites’ Oscars and Golden Globes pages offering the chance to win a trip to this year’s Oscars on 7 March courtesy of Moët. The event is being hosted by Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin.

The idents will use the strapline “Celebrate the Golden Globes with Moët”, and “Celebrate the Oscars with Moët” and have been developed by Sky’s in-house creative team.

The deal was brokered by Sky Media and media agency KR Mediacom.
