Chemistry Communications to handle launch campaign for Overground Network

Chemistry Communications has won a four-way pitch to handle the launch campaign for the Overground Network (ON), a new rail brand that will promote off-peak travel in London. ON has already launched as a pilot service on four South London routes, with a full roll-out scheduled in 2004. ON will invest £1.5m improving off-peak services in London to encourage people to stop travelling at peak times, with train frequency, passenger information and station facilities expected to be upgraded. The off-peak service is a joint-venture between the Strategic Rail Authority, Transport for London and train operating companies South Central Trains, South West Trains and Connex. The launch campaign will include 48-sheet and six-sheet posters, press advertising and a direct marketing initiative. MJ Media has been appointed to handle the media account.
