Chime reports profits rise
Chime Communications has reported a strong 25% increase in profit before tax to £13.8m in 2007. The marketing services group is also predicting an equally strong performance this year.
Its preliminary results for the year ending December 31, 2007, revealed operating profit for its advertising and marketing services group, which includes VCCP, Fast Track and Teamspirit, rose 68% to £5.9m.
Profit for its research division rose 37% to £1.4m, while profit for its public relations group rose 9% to £9m.
Lord Bell (pictured), chairman of Chime, says: “Another terrific year, double digit growth across the board and no sign of any slowdown in the first quarter of 2008 nor for that matter the rest of the year.”
Last month the Chime Group was appointed by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to handle its integrated advertising account. It will be responsible for advertising, promotion, digital and PR until March 2009 (MW.co.uk, February 20).
