Christmas theme attraction seeks headline sponsor deal

Theme park Santa’s Kingdom, which “flies” visitors to Santa’s village, is searching for a headline sponsor in a bid to increase visitor numbers. Sponsorship opportunities will include on-site retail locations, branded promotional material and signage.

The attraction has appointed sponsorship agency Big Fish to find sponsors. Santa’s Kingdom has also signed up Coca-Cola Great Britain as a partner to promote the attraction on special festive 24-packs of Coca-Cola.

An advertising campaign, created by Cork-based agency Bark, is to promote the theme park on regional television, radio and press. On October 10, a promotional launch event took place in London’s Leicester Square, fronted by model Nell McAndrew.

Santa’s Kingdom was developed by two Irish businessmen and launched in Dublin last year. This year, the concept has been expanded and booked into the Wembley Exhibition Centre, the Glasgow SECC and Birmingham NEC for a month starting on November 29.

Coca-Cola Great Britain and Ireland, Allied Irish Bank and Mars’ M&Ms sponsored the Dublin Santa’s Kingdom, in deals worth more than &£500,000 in total.

Visitors to the festive theme park are promised a “meeting” with elves, an Ice King and Queen, a real snow play area and reindeer.
