City AM and Kinetic offer cross-media ad package

City AM, the morning business freesheet, has teamed up with outdoor buying agency Kinetic to offer advertisers a one-stop shop marketing platform.

The new proposition, called City Inside, offers advertisers the opportunity of taking out advertising in a new City AM product, a paper-wrap called “Personal Poster”, while simultaneously advertising across a number of outdoor sites.

The outdoor sites will be initially focused in commuter districts such as Richmond, Putney, Wimbledon and Clapham.

City AM says City Inside “gives advertisers a unique way of targeting commuters in London’s business areas.”

City AM managing director Lawson Muncaster adds: “This new offering, combining an outdoor proposition alongside City AM’s brand new ‘Personal Poster’, means advertisers will now be able to reach greater numbers of the highly-desirable audience that City AM delivers to.”

The new initiative comes at a crucial time for City AM, which is expected to record an Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) figure of 100,000 for April.

The business freesheet is still contemplating whether to roll out the paper across the UK to other cities (MW April 26). City AM had previously earmarked Manchester, Leeds and Bristol as possible cities to roll out the paper, but says its primary focus is now on Edinburgh.

However, international launches, in cities such as New York and Moscow, have not been ruled out.

The paper has just reached profit for the first time, ahead of other free newspapers such as Associated’s London Metro, which took three years to break even.
