Claims Direct has appointed All Response Media to handle its £5m media planning and buying account ahead of a relaunch of the brand. It follows the appointment of Manchester-based Air to handle its advertising business last week.

It is not thought the company has had a retained agency since going into administration in 2002. The company was acquired by law firm Russell Jones & Walker in 2003.

The relaunch of the brand will be supported by a TV campaign, which breaks on June 18. Russell Jones & Walker marketing director Andy Hoe says the relaunch aims to help the company steal a march on rivals ahead of changes to the legal market that aim to open up the sector.

He adds: “Strong brand names are going to be essential as the legal services sector develops and new legislation takes hold. All Response Media will help us achieve that with Claims Direct.”

All Response Media has worked with the brand in the past. It was the incumbent at the start of 2002 when the account, which was worth £20m at the time, was reviewed and moved into AMS Direct (MW January 17, 2002).
