Classic Rock launches rock festival

Mama Group, the music entertainment group is launching a rock festival for all the family in association with Future Publishing’s monthly music magazine Classic Rock.

“High Voltage in association with Classic Rock” will be headlined by rock groups ZZ Top and Emerson, Lake & Palmer alongside more than 40 rock, prog-rock and metal bands to be announced.

The festival claims to offer a “unique festival experience” and has consulted with readers of Classic Rock about features they would like to see at the festival incorporating the best ideas.

Classic Rock editor-in-chief, Scott Rowley, says: “High Voltage is the festival all true rock fans have been waiting for – custom built by rock fans for rock fans. If you can think it up, we can do it. We asked our readers what they’d like to see and we’re taking the best of their ideas and making them happen.”

The festival will take place at London’s Victoria Park on 24 and 25 July 2010. Ticket buyers can create bespoke festival packages including transport, accommodation, parking and VIP bar access. Early bird tickets are available until 31 December and offer fast track queuing at the event.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer are reuniting especially for the festival and it will be the band’s only live performance in 2010. The festival will see ZZ Top headline for the first time in 25 years.
