CNN International has appointed Nick Wrenn (pictured) to be its first vice president of CNN International Digital Services. Wrenn was formerly CNN International’s managing editor for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
He will be in charge of all CNN’s digital assets outside of the United States and will oversee the editorial direction of the services as well as working across CNN.com’s domestic operation.
He will also work with Turner International to manage the growth of the business through the development of new products and services. These include CNN.com and the CNN international mobile brand as well as broadband services.
Wrenn will report to Tony Maddox, executive vice president and managing director of CNN International.
Maddox says: “Our digital services are playing an increasingly important part in the growth of CNN International and this new position ensures that they will be leveraged and incorporated into our current business appropriately.”
