Co-op appoints Refinery for Christmas campaign

The Co-operative Food group has appointed Manchester-based integrated marketing agency Refinery to handle its 2009 Christmas direct mail and press campaign after a two-way pitch.


The campaign will begin in October with weekly mail-outs, intended to strengthen the Co-op’s “Everything you need on your doorstep” proposition.

Refinery won a pitch in November last year to handle an ongoing national campaign for brand including press ads, door drops and a direct mail campaign for Co-op Membership.

The Co-op is currently reviewing its advertising account ahead of the next phase of its huge rebranding programme
