Coca-Cola brings Happiness Machine viral to the UK

Coca-Cola is unveiling a UK version of its Happiness Machine viral today (7 September) in a bid to extend its ongoing “Open Happiness” campaign across Britian.

The viral, which was created in-house, is a sequel to the original Coca-Cola Happiness Machine, which the soft drinks giant says caught the world’s imagination with one million views in the first week alone, earlier this year.

The new film shows the Coca-Cola Happiness Machine arrive in the UK, targeting some unsuspecting British students.

The vending machine is shown perplexing and delighting passers-by as it dispenses a feast of unexpected itemswith a classic British twist including strawberries and cream.

It also dispenses games of Twister and Coca-Cola and diet Coke bottles, in an attempt to show it fulfilling the “Open Happiness” ethos by spreading happiness and bringing a smile to the faces of excited students.

The viral was shot over two days in London at a secret location and condensed down into just two minutes. It is entirely unscripted.
